A prominent manufacturer of helicopter blades, who learned of Nyle from a wood trade magazine, approached Nyle. As a result of normal use, blades must be removed and have their honeycomb-like interiors dried of water buildup approximately every 2,000 flight hours. This process is expensive and very time-consuming.
Nyle custom developed a drying system to accommodate the 33-foot blades.
Utilizing Nyle’s custom system, the manufacturer no longer spends 85 man-hours per blade; they can drop the blades into a Nyle dryer for just over week and ship them back to the end user at a fraction of the cost of the previous method.
